Lynne Wilson (Producer)
Lynne Wilson lives in Newfoundland and has
been producing film and television projects since 2000. In the
summer of 2005 she formed a partnership company with fellow
Producer Barbara Doran called Morag Loves Company.
Wilson recently co-produced YOUNG
TRIFFIE’S BEEN MADE AWAY WITH, a feature comedy
directed by Mary Walsh (a QC/NL co-production with Cinémaginaire
(The Barbarian Invasions). She is currently at work on several
feature film and documentary projects including: FEEL
THE EARTH MOVE: THE GROS MORNE PROJECT (a documentary
directed by Anne Troake); LOVE
& SAVAGERY, (an international co-production with
Morag, Park Ex Pictures and Subotica Entertainment); SURFING
IN NEWFOUNDLAND (a co-production with Morag and Cirrus
Communications); and ALLIGATOR
based on the award winning novel by Lisa Moore.
Actively involved in the local film community, Wilson is
President of the Film Producers Association of Newfoundland.
She is a founding member of the St. John’s based Atlantic
Studios Co-operative and serves as Treasurer on its Board.
She is also a member of the Newfoundland Independent Filmmakers
Cooperative (NIFCO), the Canadian Film and Television Production
Association (CFTPA), the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television
(ACCT) and the Documentary Organization of Canada, Newfoundland
Chapter.
